Bookings are now open for our 2026 season at The Henny Swan (Essex), The Anchor Inn (Suffolk), and Lakeside Shopping Centre (Essex).

A new chapter.

For the past four years, we’ve been proud to work alongside The Paddle Company, offering hire, tuition and adventures on the idyllic River Stour. Now, that partnership is becoming official. From 2026, Stour Kayak and The Paddle Company will come together under one new brand: Fluidity.

Richard and Robin will remain at the helm, and we’ll continue to deliver the same outstanding customer service and high-quality craft you know us for. But this is about more than a new name. It marks the start of a new chapter, with a bigger vision for the future.

We’ve always been driven by a simple ambition: to open up the River Stour to more paddlers. Now, we’re taking that even further. Our goal is to open more of Britain’s most beautiful waterways to more people — not just seasoned enthusiasts, but anyone who wants to get out on the water and enjoy it. And, we’ll continue to do that, offering adventures from The Henny Swan and The Anchor Inn, but we’re striving for more.

The first step in that journey is an exciting new opening at Lakeside Shopping Centre in Thurrock, on its beautiful lake. From there, we’ll be expanding to other scenic locations across the East of England. That growth is exactly why our brand needed to evolve.

As Fluidity, we’ll be introducing new kinds of paddle adventures, a new loyalty scheme, and fresh efforts to improve, conserve and maintain the waterways and lakes we care so deeply about. We’ll also be launching a brand new website soon, but for now, bookings can still be made through this website.

We’re incredibly grateful for the past four years, and even more excited for everything still to come.
